I scream. You scream. We all scream for Mayfield Ice Cream!

On October 26 and 27, Mayfield held an ice cream social of sorts for the children at the Miami Children’s Museum on MacArthur Causeway. A sundae bar was set up with containers of a variety of Mayfield ice cream flavors along with cookies, waffle cones, cups and a rainbow of sprinkles to the delight of all that visited. You’d be surprised at how even the adults’ eyes lit up. As volunteers scooped ice cream for all, big smiles were bountiful. They even held a tallest ice cream cone competition where the children, along with the help of parents, scooped-up as many scoops of Mayfield ice cream as they could into a cone to see who could pile-up the most and make the tallest cone. This was so much fun.

I met charming Southerner and face of Mayfield Creamery, Scottie Mayfield, who told me, “Ever since my grandfather, T.B. Mayfield, shared his first batch of ice cream with our family and friends in 1923, our passion for making only the finest quality ice cream has never wavered. Today, almost 100 years later, I’m proud to say that we still use fresh cream from our own dairy to ensure we continue to deliver the genuine Southern homemade taste beloved by generations of Southern families.” And with one taste of their Signature Vanilla, I knew this was true.

Mayfield makes a variety of iconic signature flavors, classics for the whole family, and an exciting array of limited-time only varieties, all with the genuine southern homemade taste families across the south have loved and trusted for over three generations. The current flavors available include: Sea Salt Caramel Cheesecake, Signature Vanilla, Smoky Mountain Fudge, Turtle Tracks, Summer Berry Swirl, Moose Tracks, Lemon Ice Box Pie, Homemade Vanilla, Chocolate, Extreme Moose Tracks, Brown Cow Delight, Candy Jar Crunch, plus seasonal flavors.

Mayfield uses fresh cream from their own dairy in the Smoky Mountains, Tennessee– with no artificial growth hormones – from family recipes that have been perfected throughout the years.

This year, Mayfield is fanning out and expanding to new markets across the South and Southwest, offering a whole new generation of consumers the opportunity to savor the genuine southern homemade taste that has made them a beloved family tradition. I am proud to partner with Mayfield to create some fun recipes for all my readers.

Mayfield sets itself apart from other ice cream brands with its storied heritage, unique signature flavors, and commitment to making ice cream that mirrors the enduring values of the Mayfield family for the last three generations.

Mayfield is now available at Publix stores throughout Florida.. All of the ingredients you will need to recreate my recipes with your family and friends can also be found at Publix.
